This will be a neutral Association without any particular religious or political persuasion.
This will be a non-profit Association.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES ARE:
To promote development of unity between the people of the Guine-Bissau community living in the UK. To empower the community in supporting each other through family and friends solidarity, through cultural events.
To provide information about cultural issues concerning Guine-Bissau. Our objective will be to help our children learn about traditional cultures of their parents and community, to give the children important skills about interacting within society.
To give knowledge about living skills to the community in terms of housing and financial issues, job searching, legal aid, and health issues. Our objective is to act as a resource centre to meet the needs of the community, to enable adaptation to UK life.
To provide language education. To enable adults to develop English language skills and to provide an opportunity for children to learn the national language of Guine-Bissau – Creole.
To create an official site in London to continue the development of this Association with the aim of expanding to the rest of the UK.
